The Designer Habitat Ice Cream Maker gives you delicious tasting homemade ice cream in 10-30 minutes. (Please keep an eye out because most of the time the ice cream is done early, so switch the motor off otherwise risk damage to the motor) It is fantastic for making ice cream, as well as making healthier treats like fat free frozen yoghurt and sorbets.
With an addition like this in your kitchen, you can open up a whole new world of flavours with the incredible amount of creativity and fun you can have making ice cream.
It comes with a double insulated freezer bowl to be placed in the freezer 8 hours before use. The easy clean Freezer bowl uses freezing fluid keeping the bowl ice cold for making ice cream, whilst the electronic paddle keeps the mixture moving - the key to smooth and delicious ice cream!
The motorised paddle has an extra-large ingredient funnel for whatever you wish to use to make your ice cream.

Shocking. Avoid designer habitat like the plague

It is November, I ordered my ice cream maker in August. The product malfunctioned on second use. The axle which fixes to the motor sheared and broke in two. Designer habitat were given 4 attempts to send out a new part. They never materialised. I then returned the item as suggested, i'm still waiting for a refund.Personally I do not think designer habitat should be allowed to trade on amazon. I have taken the issue to my local trading standards who are investigating. Habitat ice cream maker

After trying to make ice-cream twice now without success I am very disappointed. Having followed the instructions very carefully, I am informed from the fault finder manual that my freezer does not get up to the required temperature to make ice-cream. On the second attempt I left the bowl in the freezer for a week with a thermometer inside - the best I could achieve was -10 (you need a -25 for soft icecream and -30 for hard icecream)The Designer Habitat ice cream maker is very well constructed, easy to assemble in moments.Cleaning this machine was very easy.

lovely ice cream

I got this machine and on the same day my kids and I started creating ice cream. Its lovely if u get it right and is fun to do. My only little qualm is the paddle attachment is made of flimsy plastic and I can't see it lasting long, but while it does we shall enjoy ice cream home made ;D
