Very good ice maker

Got this to replace another ice maker which I had purchased two days before. I picked it up to change the water after 24 hours, as is recommended. And a whole pile of water poured out, straight past the wiring and electrics! So that's now in a box waiting to go back.I ordered this from Amazon with one-day delivery on Saturday. They were the second most expensive out of five offers, but had the fastest delivery. It was delivered on time, at 1.35pm on the Monday after I placed the order. Well done ParcelForce Worldwide.The ice maker? It's a stylish looking thing in place, though you could be forgiven for thinking it a bit squarish. It seems nicely made, and it's a great advance being able to disconnect the cable when taking it to empty the water - no more trailing behind on the floor. The water emptying system is easy too, and there are handles so its easier to carry it when full of water.Took 8 minutes to churn out its first lot of cubes - and the same amount for each lot after that. Not cubes, they are bullet shaped, but good tasting with filtered water, and properly cold. Went down well with a glass of Pepsi.All in all, seems like a good buy. Go ahead and get one.Only thing is that it is supposed to be transported upright. Amazon laid it 90 degrees to put it in a box. The manufacturers asked me to wait 24 hours before using it the first time - the normal thing about allowing gases etc to settle.

Super gadget doing what it says on the box. I put it on large cubes which produce thick thimbles about 1.5*3.5cm with small hole in middle. I leave it alone for an evening refilling once and have a very full large bag of icecubes. Leave in freezer giving a bash a couple of times to the bag whilst freezing the slightly wet outsides to the ice, stopping them sticking together. Lasts all week. Very easy to clean machine also.

If you want a small stand alone ice maker this does an excellent job. It's easy to set up and starts producing ice within about five minutes. It looks very smart and isn't noisy when operating.
